Champions of Hope (formerly called Advancing the Breakthrough), is an intimate cocktail event promising to be a night you’ll never forget with extraordinary cuisine and lively entertainment, hosted by the CEOs Against Cancer Greater Philadelphia Chapter. From 2014-2023, the event supported cancer research, but beginning in 2024, the event has given guests the opportunity to fund the local American Cancer Society AstraZeneca Hope Lodge, which provides free lodging for those who travel to Philadelphia for cancer treatment.
As the 2025 chair of the CEOs Against Cancer Greater Philadelphia Chapter, I am proud to lead our regional leaders in improving the lives of cancer patients and their families for the second year in a row. Today I ask you to join us as a united force against all cancers through your participation in Champions of Hope, formerly called Advancing the Breakthrough, on Friday, October 17. This intimate cocktail event, hosted at The Pump House in Bala Cynwyd, will feature extraordinary cuisine, entertainment, and the opportunity to support the American Cancer Society AstraZeneca Hope Lodge in Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Hope Lodge offers 37 guest rooms and serves patients from across our region and across the country who are being treated at one of our Philadelphia Area health systems. In 2024, the Lodge served 1,259 guests, provided 17,562 nights of lodging, and saved patients and their families $2M+ in lodging costs. The American Cancer Society and CEOs Against Cancer are committed to supporting the Philadelphia Hope Lodge and serving patients and their families in the Philadelphia area.
Facing cancer is hard. Having to travel out of town for treatment can make it even harder. Please join us to fund the Philadelphia Hope Lodge.
Sincerely,
Andrew Neary
